How many men does it take…

Technically that shouldn’t be a trick question, at least until you factor in the fact that the hole was in a driveway, and the men involved.
To dig up a small section of driveway seems to take 4 trucks a couple of diggers, one person with a pneumatic drill and 6 people stood around watching. Nice to see Tax Payers money being well spent.

Gee, sounds like the work crews here. Actually, there are so many requirements for a person’s job, one guy to do one thing and that leads to another to perform the other tasks. The six people to stand around and watch is pretty common too, those are the guys in charge making sure the workers are doing the jobs the correct way. I’m surprised they didn’t make the work crews set out orange cones but then I guess cones aren’t needed in a driveway.

We don’t get the orange cones on small jobs, only the big ones where they set them out months before you ever see anyone actually do any work there. Just long enough to throw traffic into chaos for most of the peak summer road use…
I guess all official workmen are the same the world over, which is a pretty frightening thought…
