That don’t impress me much…

My eyes, my eyes!

Well, technically that should be my eyebrows, but I’m getting ahead of myself.

It’s been kind of a rough week, which partly explains the lack of entries (it’s also down to nothing interesting to write about too…)

There’s been good news, bad news (nothing bad, just news of the non-good kind, rather than “bad news” as such)

Of course, as is usually the case in these instances, even the good things have a slap in the face following close behind, just to keep my feet on the ground (or 6 feet under at least!)

So… Last Wednesday was the first thing of note…

Closing time, time for you to go out…

03/08/2008

I’m quite fortunate, I’ve never moved house, so I’ve never had all the stress, strain and emotional upheaval that goes with it.

Carry on my wayward son…

Two things just occurred to me today.

Quite why these two things, and why today *shrugs* Your guess is as good as mine.

1st thought of the day…

If you go on a boat trip they have to have enough life jackets, and certain numbers of life boats (titanic anyone?)

So how come you go on a plane and you’re provided with a cheap looking oxygen mask but no parachute?

2nd thought of the day…

Why is it when you talk to a non-native English speaking person, it never matters how bad their English is, they always know a volley of swear words in English?

How many men does it take…

Drive repairs…to dig a hole?

Technically that shouldn’t be a trick question, at least until you factor in the fact that the hole was in a driveway, and the men involved.

To dig up a small section of driveway seems to take 4 trucks a couple of diggers, one person with a pneumatic drill and 6 people stood around watching. Nice to see Tax Payers money being well spent.
