Stones taught me to fly…

Ahh a trip out.
It’s been so long I’d almost forgotten what to do.
Actually it’s a fairly sorry tale.
I got my bag packed yesterday, just to be sure I wouldn’t forget anything this morning. It was almost like first day at school, the frantic packing the day before, making sure everything was present and accounted for, and that you knew exactly what pocketed contained which item.
Like I said, a sorry tale!
But it’s my first trip out the house since August, so I was feeling more than a little rusty.
I went into town to get my hair cut, which was well past time since I was about ready to have to start braiding it again.
Come to think of it, last time it was cut was the reason I was out of the house in August too…
It looks much better now, it’s short, manageable and fashionable. When it’s long it does tend to look thin on top, with a dead straw look and it always makes me think of those creepy old men who grow what hair they’ve got to ridiculous lengths so they can then comb it over all the areas that are going bald and hope nobody notices
For 9:30 in the morning, it was pretty busy, but then it is that time of year I suppose. Which probably also explains why most of the people I saw looked stressed, harassed and irritable.
It probably also explains why I’m waddling around with my stick getting bashed, pummelled and trodden on. It’s not so much the season of goodwill at this time of year as the season of walk faster or get pushed out the way!
One thing’s for certain, I’m not leaving the house again until the sales finish in mid January. If I need anything I’m sticking with the internet!
I did get a nice calender to send to my Web Mommie in America though… Last year I sent her one of the local sights in and around the city. This time I found one that should similar locations, but over the last hundred years or so. A couple of the photos in it dated back to 1889. I always find it fascinating seeing how the places have changed over the years.

Now that wasn’t so bad was it? One always feels better after a haircut too. This time of year is so busy, hurry here, hurry there. I stay in most of the time myself and only go to local places.

Sounds like a good plan, I usually try and stick to that from the start of November until the end of January, but I got a bit off track this year

Yes there’s nothing likely to make you feel more shabby than a hairdo that’s in need of some TLC.
Not sure who I remind you of, but I’ve been told Tom Cruise, a young Kiefer Sutherland and that creepy evil guy from Ghost Ship. Have to say I don’t see any of them myself.
