Ahh a trip out.

It’s been so long I’d almost forgotten what to do.

Actually it’s a fairly sorry tale.

I got my bag packed yesterday, just to be sure I wouldn’t forget anything this morning. It was almost like first day at school, the frantic packing the day before, making sure everything was present and accounted for, and that you knew exactly what pocketed contained which item.

Like I said, a sorry tale!

I wonder if this is what they mean by writers block.

I keep thinking up things I want to write about, then sit at the keyboard and my brain goes empty.

Then the odd time I do still have a thought in my head, my fingers won’t work, so I hit all the wrong keys, have about one word in three that is actually a real word, have to go back to “hunt and peck” style typing, by which time I’ve lost all train of thought and am write back where I started from, sitting staring at the screen trying to work out what I was just blathering on about in my head.

I finally got around to taking a new photo for my various on-line profiles. The one I’ve been using is getting on for 4 years old now.

It took about 13 attempts, (how did I ever manage before digital cameras?) but I finally managed to get a shot where I almost look human.

…The fifth of November, Gunpowder, Treason and plot…

I’ve never quite understood the point of that… Why exactly are we supposed to celebrate a failed plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament?

Still… At least it means we’ll have learnt the one major lesson from the whole debacle, right…?
