Let me tell you it’s better than digging a ditch…

Well I’m now going to be humming “At the Car wash…” for the rest of the day!
I’ve been taking full advantage of my slightly improved health the past few days.
I got to do some gardening the other day, first time in years. It’s amazingly therapeutic, not to mention good exercise.
I found this little Azalea cutting I took last year. I’d forgotten all about it until I noticed that it was flowering. Seems a bit soon to me, it’s still tiny, I didn’t think there’d be any flowers for at least another year, if not a little longer. Now I just need to wait until the flowers die so I can re-pot it in better soil.
We also put this in, it’s a little ladybird house, made from reclaimed trees and wood. There doesn’t seem to be any ladybirds living in it yet, but it’s only been in about a week, so it’s still early days.
We also put in a frog and toad house, we’ve had quite a few frogs wandering about the place the past few years, one of the houses further over seems tohave a pond in the garden they breed in, but they like to wander the rest of the year, so we decided to try and house them, keep them about for slug removal duty.
It’s been a long time since I got to wander around and play with my cameras. I spotted this fly sunbathing on the ivy for most of the day. Either that or it was unconcious and is going to wake up with quite the sunburn…
A new plant we’re trying to find a space for, green leaves with white speckles and white flowers with green speckles… Strange looking thing.
Edit
Here’s the details on the little speckled plant.
And a quick picture of the parent azalea I took the cutting from.

Oh I love Azaleas! I’ve done some cuttins a few years back, I’ll have to try that again.
What is the green speckled plant? I like that too!
I also have been getting quite the collection of birdhouse. Most times the birds could care less, but I keep adding them anyway.
I’m so happy you’re really beginning to feel healthier!

Thank you, I’m happy about it too
I took 3 cuttings and stuck them in a glass of water, one lived, two didn’t, but given the state of the parent plant, that’s still not bad.
Not sure what the speckled plant is, I’ll have to check and let you know.
