I haven’t really been around much the past week or so… I’m almost scared to say it, in case I jinx it, but I’ve been feeling a bit better lately, so naturally I’ve been overdoing it.

Now I should point out that by “better” and “over doing it” I mean I’ve been able to get showered and dressed every day instead of a couple of times a week, and I’ve been able to eat solid food instead of living of those milk vitamin shakes like Complan and Build-up.

That alone is wonderful, the sugar in those things is just ridiculous. Plus I’m intolerant to dairy, so lack of movement and shoddy diet meant I’ve gained about 2 and a half stone in the last couple of years.

I’ve been gadget hunting again…

The number of gadgets I’ve bought lately I don’t quite know how I’m not in debt up to my ears… Still I’m not so I’m not going to complain or ask too many questions
I’ve gone green this week, but that’s a tale for another entry later in the week when I have a chance to get photos taken and sorted. In the mean time, here’s a little something I found on one of the gadget sites I’ve been drooling over all morning…

All I can say is, it’s about time too!

I’ve been watching a fascinating programme on television the past couple of days called “The Verdict”.

They’ve set up a mock trial, a rape case, with the defendant, witnesses and accuser played by actors and actresses. All the court staff and experts are real though, and I’m assuming the evidence is real, just collected from other actual cases.

The jury is then made up of various celebrities; although I have a feeling that’s more to do with them being used to cameras and the media rather than a forum to build/rebuild their careers.

I have male PMS and a spoon… Don’t mess with me!

Found this on my travels and thought it was worth posting (plus it gave me an excuse to do a journal entry without having to actually write anything!)

Well the kitchen tiles never did make it up the other day, so that’s another week they’ll have to clutter up the bench before he gets rid of them… Although if he’s on usual form, it’ll be about a month, since they’ve only been waiting 3 weeks so far, then it’ll all go horribly wrong and he’ll end up breaking half of them, then having to get the professionals out to put them up properly like he should have done in the first place.

Still, I should be grateful, I did at least get the stereo stand put up, so I have my new little sound system happily suspended on the wall next to me.

I also got my new mp3 player. And a very snazzy thing it is too.

Looks like it was DIY day around here…

And that, as anyone who has ever been here will tell you, means screaming, shouting, tantrums, paddies and arguments… And that’s just my father!

Today the plan was to put 6 tiles back onto the kitchen wall and drill three holes in the bedroom wall to mount my new music stand.

Sounds simple enough, right?

Yeah, not in our house, that’s for damn sure!
