Well I seem to be particularly crabby this week.
My current gripe… Smokers.
Admittedly my usual feelings about this group of people are that they should be locked in a small, airtight room and allowed to smoke themselves into an early grave without wasting valuable oxygen that could be better used on the rest of society.
But currently I’m of the mind that this is too kind. They should be taken out and stabbed repeatedly in the reproductive organs, stuck on a spit and slow roasted…
At the very least, they should be banned from eBay until they quit the vile and filthy habit!

Well it looks like the servers photo software is finally talking to me again, so I can post the last of my delayed entries, now I don’t have to manually code all the images (I’m lazy, what can I say?)
I’ve been trying to get a new wallet for a couple of years, ever since my last one fell apart. Only problem is, I’m very choosy about them, they need to be small enough to carry, but large enough to hold an entire suitcase of stuff.
Eventually I found one, made from duct tape of all things. As usual, click the pictures to see the larger image.

My new credit card arrived on Friday… My first ever credit card, I feel so grown up!
Unfortunately, it arrived on Friday and poor little thing has been so overworked during the weekend, it was laid to rest earlier today.
I can see how people find it so easy to get into debt; it’s just not like spending money… Something about the fact you don’t have to actually have the cash to hand for around a month does seem to make you go a little daft with the shopping urges.

(Delayed from 19th November due to server difficulties)
I’m going to have to stop watching tv.
First it’s CSI and all their gadgets, and now it’s shows.
I saw CSI a couple of weeks back, and they had a nifty little gadget, so naturally, I had to run to the internet and order myself one…

Is it just me, or does anybody else feel that import duties are like government sanctioned daylight robbery?
It’s a fact, I swear customs just charges people to generate revenue for their wages and to justify their own existence!
It may just be the British system that has this problem, but the whole thing seems to be a con from start to finish.
For example, if I went abroad and came back with a suitcase full of imported DVD’s I’d not get charged a thing. I could also go for a day trip to France and buy an entire van full of alcohol and cigarettes, and they’d be duty free. But have a boxed set of DVD’s mailed to you and the cost rockets once customs get their little mitts on them!

It’s been a fairly busy week, and it’s still only Tuesday!
The server move appears to have gone smoothly, so I’m hoping my journal site won’t be up and down like the little yo-yo it’s been of late.
My only issue with it now is the image software still isn’t working, but my wondrous hostess is sorting that out already, so I’m hoping I’ll have image facilities back again sometime today and I can post the couple of entries I’ve got just sitting their waiting for images to be uploaded.
Let’s see, what else has been going on…

I’m confuzzled…
I came to put a turkey joint roast into the oven today and was mindlessly looking at the packaging while I was waiting for it to cook.
Can someone explain to me how a plain turkey roast can only contain 65% turkey?
Someone must know the answer to this, because I just don’t get it.

I had to laugh last night, all the local firework displays in the Newcastle area were cancelled by about 8pm because of the gale-force winds…
Needless to say it came as no surprise that people wouldn’t take that as a sign, and not use their own for safety reasons, oh no, midnight came and the explosions started.
The funny part was watching them launch from one garden, get caught by the wind, then finally explode about 5 streets away from the launch site.
*sniggers*
Needless to say, about 8 rockets were fired before they gave up, since they were too far away for them to actually see the end result.
