It’s too darn cold today. It’s cold enough I’ve had to put the radiator on in this room and leave it on since this morning. In the 5 years or so since this room was built over the garage, it’s only about the second time it’s been cold enough to need it…

And even then, it belts out so much heat after about an hour it’s usually too hot and I turn it off again till it cooled off… Or at least that’s what I had to do last time I used it.

*shrugs*

Oh well.

In other news, it would appear that rather nasty inner ear virus I had the other week has actually been a good thing, there’s been a rather handy side effect from it.

You Are Big Bird

Talented, smart, and friendly… you’re also one of the sanest people around. You are usually feeling: Happy. From riding a unicycle to writing poetry, you have plenty of hobbies to keep you busy. Notice how it fails to mention that Big Bird was also the most annoying and irritating of all the characters, and the one you’d most like to see strung up by the internal organs.

This was one of those “what the heck” purchases. I wasn’t particularly thrilled with the first two films, both being the usual all action, no plot kind of thing… Although admittedly the second was more enjoyable than the first (although the long hair did not work!)

Fortunately he’s back to his clean-cut, short hair for this third instalment, which suited the character much better in my opinion.

Still, the first two had kind of put me off the whole thing, and I wasn’t planning on buying this third one, but it was a slow week for DVD releases, and I was both bored and desperate, so “What the heck…” and I bought it.

Strangely I’m glad I did.

Last night was unexpected. I slept through all the fireworks… Well almost all of them. There were so many going off at one point I woke up about 8pm to enough explosions it could have been the Blitz.

I still say they should ban fireworks from the public and just have organized displays, like they used to a few years back.

At least then you got a really impressive display for a small amount of cash (which wouldn’t buy you more than one firework now)

I got an unexpected phone call today.

I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

My doctor has been telling me for several years that I should be applying for disability because of my health. Naturally it’s never that easy, and every time I apply, the benefits medical examiner sits there filling out a form, looks at you and from that feels they are fully informed to render a decision that effectively says there’s not a damn thing wrong with you.

Long sorry saga, that even I’m sick of hearing about.

But it would appear they have changed the rules this time…
