I really hate having to wait around for trades people.

Someone was due to take a look at the aerial and cabling today to try and fix my TV signal (which, naturally, has been perfect since I ran to book the appointment)

Still, it’s been doing this for the two years I’ve had the TV in this room, so I want it sorted once and for all.

He was due between 10 and 11am.

I knew there was a reason I never watch the news on TV.

Not only is it usually depressing, it’s also bleedin’ boring!

Twenty minutes, twenty minutes it took them today covering the apparent nuclear bomb test in Korea. How can it possibly take that long to say there was a test explosion that registered on the Richter scale, but nobody really knows anything more than that.

Oh but wait, then they have to interview everyone and their grandmother to find out what they think, ask every government official available for their thoughts on the matter, along with several hours of supposition about what it will mean for each possible eventuality should they ever discover what the device tested was.

Let’s see… What be new here…

(Yes I know I’m clutching at straws).

Well the Dreamweaver software arrived on Friday, so I figured I might as well do a full format and reinstall. I usually use a disc image when I reinstall, gives me a nice fresh system with all my programs and settings in a little over 20 minutes.

But since I had to remove the old version of Dreamweaver I was still using from when I was at work about 3 years ago, my anti-virus was ready for renewal, both my email and browser programs needed updating, along with one or two other random programs… I figured it was time.

I sat and watched this last night (after it finally arrived) and overall, it was a total disappointment.

That surprised me, since I’d heard good things about it, and a lot of people saying it was the best of the three X-Men movies, but in a lot of ways I’d say it was actually the weakest.

First off, it was only 99 minutes long, the first was 100 and the second was 128, so it was actually the shortest of the three. Plus there was the number of characters, killed, maimed or otherwise incapacitated during the course of the film, leaving the audience left wondering how on earth they’re going to bring them back for any further films.

They did get some things right though…

I think I’m cursed with an overactive conscience.

I managed to get Dreamweaver and Flash for over £400 cheaper than the normal price by getting a student licence.

I had another trip to the opticians today… The third trip in as many months.

Every time I go my prescription has changed, my eyes have got stronger so i need my prescription weakened.

At this rate I’ll not need contacts at all in a few more months.

It also means I need to put more effort into my eye exercises, since they’re obviously working, the faster my eyes fix at a strength the quicker I can stop having to trail all the way into town to get them rechecked.

I managed to delete the flash gallery in error, and I can’t be bothered to go through all the setting up to recreate it, since it’s still not exactly what I’m looking for. Guess I keep looking…

If I didn’t know better I’m beginning to think I have some kind of attention disorder (or the attention span of a flea, one of the two!)

I do it every time.

Every time I get something planned, I change my mind part way through.
