Usually I’m shocked if I have two productive days in a month, but I’m on my second productive day this week!
I think I need a little lie down to recover from the shock
I’ve finally gotten myself around to installing ASpell, so I can spell check text directly in my browser, which is working great for my journal entries and leaving any comments. With my spelling I’ve always had to type everything in word, just to be sure it’s spelt properly.
Not any more

So the phone line, and more importantly the internet are back up and running (yay!)
The new ISP was activated on Tuesday, which could account for the broken phoneline, but it’s up and running happily, although they’ve yet to provide all the login details, like router settings, mail server details etc. Nice fast service, but totally inefficient!
Broken mobile is waiting to be sent for repair, and I have a pile of faulty DVD’s waiting to be returned too.
I’ve even just about caught up on my emails, some of the people have been waiting so long they’re email accounts have been closed it’s taken that long for me to reply to them
While I’m managing to be so productive (I just know I’ll be flat on my back again by tomorrow at this rate) it seems like a good time to start trying to set up my gallery.

Unbelievable, last week it was the heat that went off, this week it’s the phone.
I got up this morning to find no internet.
Once eight therapists and a couple of tranquilisers had managed to calm me down, I checked the phone to find that was out too. It’s been reported but it’ll be a couple of days before the phone company is expecting to be able to send out an engineer.
Already I’m in the depths of withdrawal, and have even set up a dial up connection through my cellphone.
I’m used to my 1 meg broadband connection, and here I am thinking “Oh well 9.6Kbps is still better than nothing” (Although not by much)
So slow, and I’m trying not to think of the costs when the phone bill turns up :-((
EDIT
Then after 1 call my cellphone died on me too, won’t turn off, then after I removed the batter it won’t turn on either, it’s just dead.
I hate my life :-((

Procrastination is all well and good (I’ve been an active disciple of it for many a year.
It’s true what they say about there being no pleasure without pain.
Procrastination is the pleasure…
Waking up to discover you’ve been taken over by papers and have around 4 years worth of shredding to do is the pain…
:sigh:
It’s going to be a long weekend…

I just had to put these two adverts in here for airwave chewing gum.
I don’t know about other countries, but the British advertising campaigns of the past few years have been… well… sucky to say the least.
Adverts used to be funny and interesting, and sometimes more fun to watch than the program they were breaking up. But not for a long time…
Until now!

I’m such a numpty at times, even I have to admit that.
I have a terrible habit of mixing up my metephors and coming out with some ratehr strange end versions.
Take today, I was trying to use the “hit paydirt” or “hit the jackpot” version in what I was typing, only my fingers ended up typing “hit payday” instead…
Can you actually hit payday?
The last one I remember doing was a while back, in my head I was saying “I’m running around like a whippet on speed”…
What actually came out of my mouth was “I’m scooting around like a ferret on tablets…”
I think my brain had a misfire…
Do ferrets even take tablets…?

Quick opinion poll, this is the logo I’ve got it down too… what do you think? Am I copyright safe do you reckon?

I wouldn’t have believed how difficult it would be to get a decent looking logo if you’d asked me a couple of weeks ago.
When I started looking at getting a logo for my journal, there were literally hundreds of places on eBay. Mind you, to this day I still can’t understand why so many places think that for it to be “professional” it has to be bland, dull and generally uninteresting…
But I digress…
I found one that had samples I liked the look of and went with them.

Have you noticed; things only seem to break down when you need them?
Wither that, or when they break, you realise just how much you do rely on them. I haven’t quite figured out which way around it is.
It’s still a right pain when it happens though.
Take last night for example; I was sat upstairs at about 6pm last night thinking how cold it was getting. I didn’t bother giving it much more thought than that though; it’s been really cold the past couple of weeks anyway.

The new Harry Potter DVD is due out on Monday, and strangely I can’t wait to see it. The trailers for it look so good.
I feel like a giddy school girl again…
Umm… *cough* You know what I mean…
*straightens school uniform*
Wonder if I can blame cabin fever for my insanity?
