Ahh well, another day, another kitchen gadget… Not to mention another parcel delivery van

I like my gadgets, and my favourite gadgets always involve either the computer or the kitchen… Don’t ask me why, they just do :confuzzled:

We’ve got most of them, juicers, bread makers, food processors, blenders… Plus all the non-electrical little labour saving assistants that litter the kitchen drawers.

On the plus side, I actually use all of them, or at lest I do when I’m well enough, and when I’m well enough, I just couldn’t manage without them!

Well now my journal is up and running fully, seems like a good time to add the rest of the plugins and break it again

I’ve got a nice little plugin to let me recreate my gallery, but within my journal software. I’m hoping it will actually work this time, turns out all those months I had the other one half the pages wouldn’t open and the comment system didn’t work at all.

I’ve also found a chat board to add to it, and a plugin to let me email my entries or photos, for when I’m out and about (Yep I’m ever hopeful :-p)

What is it about delivery vans?

Or should that be, what is it about the writing on delivery vans…

They all have one thing in common… No matter what van it is, when or where you see it, they all have the same writing on it…

We had 4 vans at the house yesterday, and each and every one of them had the same writing on them…

Comments are back up and running, and there shouldn’t be any more multiple journal notifications being sent out.

I know you have to allow for user error, but when the user (that’d be me) is a halfwit, there’s really no hope for things. I had everything up and running last night, so when blulady pointed out that the comments weren’t working I was a little confused.

Even when I was posting the last entry and it wasn’t displaying pages, just creating multiple posts, I thought it was network congestion.

Turns out when I was altering all the file locations last night and changing the location code I’d managed to leave an extra .com on one line, so everything was looking for www.nakedfraggle.com.com.

No wonder it was all going wrong!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go and let my web host’s mailing group know they have a certified moron in thir midst, who posts about network problems, then discovers it’s an IUR problem (Idiot User Related) a whole 30 seconds after clicking send :loser:

I had a weird dream the other night… Of course I’d been going to write about it when I got up, only to remember I had no journal at the time :-((

Anyway, to the dream…

I was on holiday in America, seemed to be California and I’d stumbled on a karaoke club…

(Surprised the dream went any further and didn’t involve them having to drag me off stage and prize the mic out of my cold, dead fingers)

Well it’s been one of those good news/bad news kind of months.

The bad news, obviously was my web host having a server crash, the data center being unable to recover anything from the drive, and the host getting so much stress and grief from some of the more vocal customers that they decided to put their entire business on hiatus.

After that came the required change of hosting companies, the terrible service, the technical suppport departments who appear to know less about computers than I do and the sum of around 18 hours trying to get my journal back up and running.

On the plus side… there was good news…
