Hmmm… My mother said she needed a recent photo of me, so I showed her the only one I could find, this photo to be exact:

She looks at it and says “So who’s that…?”

Think maybe I should be worried that my own mother doesn’t recognize me?

I’ve just been watching the news tonight (something I try not to do too often :-D) But I thought it was interesting that they’re already talking about the 2012 Olympics that are set to be held in London.

I feel it only fair to mention that I’m not a fan of sports, I think they’re fun to do, a waste of time to watch, and the profession sportsmen/women and athletes are overpaid and a waste of good money. But that’s just me.

Saying that, I still think what the… Well I assume it’s the government… is planning to do is just as wrong.

There’s one good thing about spending days reinstalling a computer.

You get to start from scratch, put the latest of everything on, clear out all the junk and end up with a nice speedy machine, it’s a bit like getting a new car, you know you’ll wear it in again eventually, but there’s still something nice about a nice clean, fresh, up to the minute piece of machinery.

Of course there’s a downside too, particularly if you’re a horder like me…

Thursday was a rather spooky day…

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear I was being haunted :sofa:

It all started when the DVD player started turning itself on and playing, but not even from the start either, oh no, it started playing from part way through the film.

Of course any self respecting ghost would have turned the tv on as well, playing a film isn’t much good without the screen to see it being turned on.

So I’m almost sorted in here now, just the photo gallery to set up and the logo to get and I’m back to normal. The photo gallery will be next week after I get windows sorted, but I have the logo being worked on as we speak…

Managed to find a nice little company on ebay, got a very good price, but more importantly they had a couple of nice logos in their portfolio that were a similar style of graphic to the one I’m after.

Who’d have thought it would be so difficult to find a design company that actually does proper drawing. So many of them just seem to do those little generic images that, yes they look professional and businesslike, but they sure are dull and uninspiring!

I was reading Kim’s journal which was asking about the stupidest thing you’ve ever said, or had said to you and I just had to write my two here.

I can’t think of anything galactically stupid that I’ve said, but that’s probably because there will have been so many…

Don’t give me that valentine’s garbage… I can’t even get electricals to give me any love :-((

Was already to start my much needed backup and reinstall, I got a little distracted and didn’t do it yesterday and never got it started…

Just as well really, 4 minutes into the backup there was a loud crackle, pop and bang…

And that was the end of my backup drive (more…)

It’s times like these I really wish I could draw
I should be able to, I’m pretty “arty”, and I usually know what I’m wanting, but for some reason the picture I see in my head just never makes it onto the paper…

So much so, by the time I’m finished, even I don’t have a clue what it was supposed to be. :-((

It’s so unfair… I wanted to get a logo for my journal, I know pretty much what I want, but can’t get it down on paper (or in this case on screen) without it looking like something a 2-year-old has just done.

And logo design companies are so expensive too… Ahh well, at least I’ve found one that offers free quotes :hide:

Now why is it the second you’re ready to do something important with a computer, it chooses that exact second to crash completely…

Or is it only me that happens to?

Two whole weeks and I’ve just about got all the broken links in my journal fixed and all the photos uploaded again. Then yesterday I was all ready to get the last of the broken links and start installing my gallery when the computer dies on me, takes the backup system with it, and to top it off fills the registry and file partition sectors with errors (more…)

What is it about website coding people and programmers that makes them all so rude?

Is it something they put in the water, or just a required course they take along with basic web design and advanced language coding?

I’ve noticed this a lot lately. They ask for people to beta test whatever it is they’re working on, then moan and bitch when people report back all the things that aren’t working, or further suggestions.
