Well that’s a surprise.

I woke up this morning (does getting up at 2pm count as morning if you’ve been trying since 8am…?) to find we had snow :bounces:

Of course it’s typical British snow, it’s already turned to a extra large slushy before it’s even hit the ground, so you get no fun from it, all it does is gum up every form of transportation.

We don’t get enough snow over here, so we’re just not equipped to deal with it.

I don’t like the cold… Mostly because my feet turn to blocks of ice in about September and refuse to thaw out until at least April.

I actually tried holding them up to the fire one time… I had scorched soles and the feet still felt like ice cubes *pouts*

The only good thing about winter is the snow, it makes everything look so crisp and fresh, and it’s fun to play with…
:fight:

But the last time we had decent, usable snow was back in 1988. It’s the best snow we ever had… I can’t remember how deep it was but it came up over my knees…

So around 3″ then :wiggle:

Actually I seem to recall it being around 2 foot or so. I know all the public transport stopped, because they couldn’t get through the snow (I think we only have one gritter and one snow plough in the whole district!) I also remember that it was so cold most of the schools had to close down because their heating systems had frozen. Many of them were closed for most of the week.

Naturally ours had an overachieving caretaker who had left the heating on over the weekend because of the expected bad weather so it wouldn’t be frozen shut on Monday morning :dontgothere:

As far as I recall any snow we’ve had since has either fallen as slush, or has turned within a couple of hours of falling… And we’ve never had as much as we had that year either :-((

So I’m going to have to pop outside now in my pyjamas, before I even have breakfast (yes I know it’s after 3 in the afternoon, but I’ve just got up so it still counts as breakfast!) and do my snow dance…

It’s a lot like a rain dance, only involves more shivering and a few ice cubes in inappropriate places…

Like under the neighbours tires :-D
What…?

Where did you think I was going to be putting them? :-p
:snowy:
