It’s days like today that you should just stay in bed, and what ever you do you should never, ever, ever start “thinking” about things.

When you do it just gets depressing.

Things like remembering that I haven’t been able to leave the house in almost 5 months. Like the fact that I like to get my hair cut every 8 weeks. Only this time it’s been 8 months

And my personal favourite, realising that this time next year, I’ll have been suffering from CFS for a third of my life :-((

Oh, while I remember, if you hear a high pitched screaming sound… That’s the sound of a flock of tapeworms discovering that they’re going on a diet! (more…)

I always enjoy finding quotes online, there’s some very good ones out there, some are by well known people, others have probably been made up on the spur of the moment, but that doesn’t make them any less effective.

I find the Latin quotes particularly fascinating, although I’ve never quite been able to figure out why, it’s not like I ever learnt Latin.

I found some this morning, the more I read, the more I liked, so I ended up cheating. Rather than trying to select a handful, since I liked all of them I just cut and paste the lot :shh:

Well on the plus side, my salute for swydm.com has finally be approved :bounce: so I know I’m really me, which I find a great comfort
Plus I managed to get my little idea I mentioned last week done. I didn’t think I was going to get it, since the software kept crashing… But I managed to download an updated version from the internet (or should that just be working version since it’s exactly the same, but without the crashing!)

I’ve been reading about this business with Paris Hilton and her now, somewhat public private phonebook.

Now I can see the appeal to the hacker, wanting to crack computers and get files etc. I disagree with hackers causing damage and stealing files etc., but I can see the appeal. I have to say I’d love to have the skill and know-how to be able to do that kind of thing (although in a responsible fashion, naturally!)

What I really don’t understand is why the hacker felt the need to post her phonebook all over the internet. On the other hand…

We have ugly cars. There’s no other answer.

Now admittedly I’ve never been a car person, as far as I’m concerned they’re metal tins with wheels, as long as they work and get me from one place to another with the least amount of fuss possible I’m happy.

But the thing is, when you actually look at our cars, they’re ugly things, and who can get excited about ugly boxy looking cars?

Mind you, I think the designers are taking liberties with their latest brainwave.

Well, after me complaining yesterday about never getting decent snow… When i woke up this morning…

Yes, my inner child is alive and well and living in seclusion waiting for a decent snowfall… And a trip to the toy store :asbestos:

The forecast last night said that the weather should be getting colder over the next few days with plenty more snow, especially on the east coast.

*blinks* I’m on the east coast… :wiggle:

:bringit: So bring on the snow and the winter winds! I want to see at least a foot of snow by tomorrow, just for the sheer heck of it!

Well that’s a surprise.

I woke up this morning (does getting up at 2pm count as morning if you’ve been trying since 8am…?) to find we had snow :bounces:

Of course it’s typical British snow, it’s already turned to a extra large slushy before it’s even hit the ground, so you get no fun from it, all it does is gum up every form of transportation.

We don’t get enough snow over here, so we’re just not equipped to deal with it. :rollseyes:

I’ve come to the conclusion there’s some strange people on the Internet…

Now I know this is going to sound horrible, and as a general rule I make it a point never to talk about anyone in specifics in my journal… But this is just… well… creepy, to say the least, and I can’t figure out if it actually is creepy, or if it’s just me being paranoid…
