Life — Ren @ 8:53 pm
I’ve just been reading Felicia’s journal, and had a good giggle about her experience of matchmaking friends (Who I still think should all be lined up outside and shout several times).
I can kind of understand people who are just constant matchmakers…
It’s the ones who only develop the hobby after they find a significant other (either to date or to marry) that I can’t understand.
The guy who’s currently trying to set me up with someone… After I’d finished threatening him with all kinds of cruel and interesting punishments if I ever got my hands on him… I asked him why he decided I needed to be fixed up with someone.
His reply…
“Well you’re such a nice person.”

Do you ever wonder why you bother speaking?
You ask somebody to do something, you go all the bother of explaining to them exactly what to do how to do it and why… And then they go on to exactly what you didn’t want done.
Case in point, my father was going to the shopping today, so last night explained to him what I needed and what to get.
You’d think, when you take the trouble to spend 20 minutes explaining to somebody… You just kind of expect them to be able to follow that sort of minute instruction.

Oh no! Someone is trying to set me up with a date.
Why is it that the minute people start dating, they immediately think that everyone else should be dating as well, and start looking for people to pair them off with?
I’ve already had a letter and two emails, and she seems like a lovely girl… But you’d think that fact that I don’t leave the house would set off alarm bells… I’m pretty sure all people like their potential dates/marriage partners to actually be capable of appearing in public at least once a decade…

DVD's — Ren @ 7:47 pm
I was looking forward to seeing this film, especially after having recently seen Welcome to the Jungle. The film sounded quite promising, was in action film, it featured The Rock, and it was based on a true story.
As usual, The Rock was brilliant, but that was about all that had going for it. The action was passe, the film they’ve been based on a true story, but at a guess I’d say someone took creative license to the extreme!
The one thing, in an action film featuring The Rock, he generally expect more than one explosion in the whole film!

Why is it when you don’t have something or are running low on it, you immediately need it more than ever?
The water goes off, you suddenly find you need to use the water every few minutes…
You run low on toilet paper, you instantly develop the bladder control of a soggy tea bag.
And in my current case, you run low on tissues, your nose turns into a miniature replica of Niagara Falls!

I don’t know if it’s just me, maybe I’m just one of those people…
But it doesn’t seem to matter what it is, no matter how simple it should be, there always seems to be major drama involved.
Take today for example, I put the cellphone and came to make a call…

Isn’t it typical?
I was all set to spend the day taking some new photos for my gallery and to use on my profile… Only “daddy” get’s a cold.
Needless to say, it’s impossible to take photos when you’ve got the living dead sniffling around the house in full-blown “I’ve got a cold, pity me” mode.
You can’t even breathe loudly without a volley of complaints…
It’s going to be a long weekend!

Shock, horror…
Headline news today, boyband Busted are “taking a break” while one of them spends time with his new band. It’s been suggested that this means they are breaking up.
Altogether now…
“WHO CARES”!!!

I’m not a fan of Big Brother, but I have to admit a certain fascination with the celebrity version.
There’s just one thing I don’t understand though. The winner gets to choose the charity that the prize money is donated to… The prize money being £50,000.
But between them, the celebrities are reportedly being paid £455,000 to appear.
I know my maths skills aren’t all that great, but £455,000 in costs, plus the other expenses involved, all for a £50,000 charity prize… It just doesn’t seem to add up as a good thing to me.
But maybe it’s just me
