There’s always one!

There’s always one to blow the whistle and spoil the fun

There are times when I think that technology is like a step backwards on the evolutionary scale… Which is born out by this picture…

Hmm… Now I have a sudden image of Donkey from the Shrek films, singing his little heart out…
But anyway
I got a phonecall from the restaurant I used to work at, before my latest relapse. They needed some info, which needless to say, I didn’t appear to have. But when I called them back they’ve got a new phone system in, they’ve got a new till system… Things are moving along at rapid pace… Everything is still a bit temperamental, but it’s still moving along…
I feel strangely left out. Even though I don’t work there any more and haven’t for almost 18 months, I still have to remind myself that I’m not part of it any more.

It’s time I got back to what I do best…
Making fun of myself
After all, why should other people get to have all the fun? :-p
I did promise to explain about the sleeping arrangements the other week, but I wanted to wait until after the tribunal hearing about my disability benefit… I don’t suppose it really matters, but they seem to think if you aren’t in a suicidal heap and have any shred of humour left in you that you just have to be faking it.

I’ve been told that someone thinks I’m only talking to them because I want to molest their frog…
Someone else thinks I’m trying to steal Kermit from them like some cheap hussy…
Should I be worried?
I mean…
As if!

I’ve done so little writing lately, not only is everything I’m writing not worth Jack, but it’s playing bloody murder with the joints in my hands… And that’s with a ergonomic keyboard!
It has confirmed one thing though… Well actually two… The first (one I hate to even mention, since it was what every school teacher I’ve ever had used to like to say…) “Use it or lose it!”
As much as I hate the saying, it would appear it really is true!

When I heard that they were remaking the Thunderbirds as a live action film, I have to admit I was quite excited about seeing the results.
My earliest memories of my childhood are being stuck on the sofa with tonsillitis and watching Terrahawks, Thunderbirds, UFO, Stingray and Captain Scarlet on a Saturday afternoon.
The original Thunderbirds show somehow always managed to maintain an air of serious respectability… The film however is total cheese!
But then to some degree that added to it’s charm.

Well this is nice. I started this entry on Saturday/Sunday when I was sick of my life and wondering what the point of it all was.
I’m glad I never got it finished, since I’m now not feeling so much like that so I can use it for less depressing entries
I found http://www.cybersocieties.com yesterday. It has photo rating functions, but it’s more a gathering/meeting place than a ratings site. It seems quite fun, I only uploaded my photo a couple of hours ago and I’ve already got a selection of nice welcoming messages. It certainly seems more lively than swydm has been of late.

So how does that work?
I’m guessing foul play was suspected.
Yep, it’s true, in the news today, a sniffer dog was suspended during an investigation after visitors to the prison where it worked lodged complaints and wanted the dog’s sniffing capabilities to be assessed.
:confuzzled:Erm… It’s a dog?!?!? What? Did they think that officials were going to come to the conclusion that it couldn’t be that accurate and must be planting the drugs on poor unsuspecting victims?
