It has been the strangest week. There’s been so much happening, but at the same time absolutely nothing going on.

Like I said, it’s quite weird.

It’s taken me this long to get my head around everything and get some kind of balance… Well that and get something sorted out to actually write and spell check an entry on!

2nd March 1988 - 16th October 2004

The laptop was collected yesterday.

No laptop.

Minimal email.

Virtually no internet.

No messenger software.

No installed usable software… And I’ve had to take my TV downstairs for my night-time DVDing… :sigh: Lifes just not worth living at the moment :-((

I can’t even read my messages, or comments on swydm… Can’t even get to any journals other than my own either :-((

Oh, anyone else on swydm finding that virtually no profile has a “rate me” link, or is it just me?

I’m saying nowt!

Not a sausage…

I’ll only end up whining again, and even I’m getting irritated by it now.

Suffice it to say I’m going to be computer-less for at least 2 weeks.

I might tell you about it tomorrow… If I can manage it in a non-whiney fashion…

You’re not going to believe this… Ok, so you probably will…

I fell down the stairs this morning. There I was stood on the landing, next thing I know I’m flying backwards, with the greatest of ease (and not a trapeze in sight!)

I’m a bit battered and bruised, but it could have been much worse… There’s just one little hitch…

After gloating yesterday (when will I ever learn?) about having sorted out my nightly entertainment… Yep, you guessed it…

It’s days like these that make me wish I were adopted… And female!

First off, my father managed to pull yet another muscle while playing tennis today.

Being a typical man (I still maintain I was fathered by an asexual alien!) not only was it the end of the world, but nobody has suffered pain like what he was! :rollseyes:

I must have faulty genes… Either that or I’m a woman trapped in a smurfs body… I’m not sure which it is, but either way, I just don’t quite get the genders capacity to make a mountain out of a mole-hill!

I’m sure of it!

First of all the computer started crashing the other week and needed to be reinstalled. Then my new backup drive wouldn’t fit the port so I had to buy an adapter… Only the adapter didn’t work so I had to buy a whole new cable and send the adapter back.

Then when I eventually managed to get the system backed up, I had to spend 3 days reinstalling it, only to find that I still can’t use the internet properly. Anything with buttons isn’t working. I don’t know if it’s something to do with my browser or the JavaScript software or what, but I have to hit the button then close the error about 5 times before it will accept, which is getting to be really annoying!

Less than two hours to go…

I’ve already reached the “last time” stage… You know, this will be the last time I stay up with her all night… This will be her last breakfast… Yesterday was her last walk… Last night was her last night… It’s the last time I’ll get to sit and watch a DVD while she sleeps through it all…

Well now I’ve emptied the photos from the camera… Time to go back and continue annoying her with hundreds of photos while she’s trying to sleep…

And she hates being photographed… If she sees the camera she turns her head away…

Which I guess makes the constant flashing over night close to her worst nightmare… Fortunately she was too sleepy to even notice
