I’m back!

Just had to post that. All the main things are reinstalled, just a few added extras left to do.

And I got my new camera :bounces:

Ok, now time for bed, since it’s 12pm and I’ve been up since yesterday.

I think I’m just about all set.

I’ve got my new hard drive to backup my computer, I’ve found all the discs to reinstall, and my mp3 recorder arrived on Friday…

Yep I’m all ready…

With that I shall backup while I’m in bed tomorrow, start reinstalling when I get up tomorrow night and should be back up and running by Wednesday.

But at least now I can try out the mp3 recorder and do some audio blogging ready for when I get back! :bounces:

Oh and anyone know where King221 vanished to? It appears there’s an epidemic of suddenly vanishing people starting! I’ve lost 4 people in about 2 months! :-((

Well someone was in quite a mood last night. What with the pouting, the complaining and the ordering…

Then at 4am she decided that she just couldn’t possibly go back to sleep unless I sat on the floor and held her paw until breakfast time.

I had a very numb bottom by 5:30, I can tell you!

Yes it was this little monster that I’m talking about…

Lifes prayer…

Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can`t make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a ! slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.

I also ordered myself a 250Gb hard drive so I can get my files backed up, reinstall this thing and get to actually reply to journal comments again!

Oh and I’ve ordered myself a snazzy little mp3 recorder ready for my attempts at audio blogging. I’m still a little unsure of actually having my voice on show, but my typing fingers are thrilled at the idea

Or does it seem a blatantly bad idea to wake someone up to ask them what time they wanted to be woken?

Maybe it is… It might explain why my mother keeps doing it, and seems unable to understand why I’m a tad… Ummm… Tetchy when she does it.

Take today for example… My last words before I went to bed was that I would get up when I got up, but if I wasn’t up by 5pm, wake me.

Do I have to?

Is anyone else as bored by this journal as I am right now?

I swear, all I’ve done lately is moan, whine and complain… Which I wouldn’t mind if it was at least interesting! :sigh:

Doesn’t help that it’s just been discovered that I can enhance, fix and repair old photos on the computer… So guess what I’m getting to do for everyone all of a sudden! :rollseyes:

So that’s the last of my energy taken care of… Who can manage to type?

Nor their ability to gain worthless employment in positions of responsibility…

Mostly in places that deal with the public, need people with all their faculties, and generally should know better.

You know the type of people… And the type of places that seem to just love to employ them…

Social Security Offices, Pension departments, Customer Service departments, Financial departments, Passport or driving licence offices… And of course any government office you can find.

:sigh: No I don’t want to explain… Maybe tomorrow when I’ve finished beheading jelly babies…

For those of you that realise I’m referring to the lack of song lyrics as the entry title… You’ve been here way too long… It’s just not healthy :-p

For those that didn’t know… You obviously don’t spend enough time in my journal… Sensible people that you are

I just have one question… Do computer files breed in the night when nobody is looking?

I used to have a 6.5Gb hard drive in my first computer. Loads of space for my programs and my files…

I use virtually the same programs that I used then (although some are updated versions) yet I now have a 30Gb hard drive, over 7Gb taken up with software and 11.5Gb of files… How can anyone have 11.5Gb of computer files? :-((

Backing up this lot is going to take weeks never mind days! *pouts*
