And dreams are always deep, on the pillow where I’ll weep…

I feel like Lurch of the Adams Family today… But then that’s lack of sleep for you. I had 3 hours sleep on Saturday night, another three on Sunday night and none at all last night… And I’m one of those people who needs nine hours sleep a night to function… Only I never get it ![]()
My father was away playing a tennis match last night… Only to come limping through the door at about 10:30 because half way into the game he pulled all the muscles in his leg… So he got the same level of sympathy as we get from him… *smirks*
That’s right… We told him to stop whining about it and go to bed
I swear the lengths that man will go to, just to get out of doing the jobs around the house!
Only problem is, Bonnie, our rather heavy Labrador, can’t manage the stairs anymore, and has dementia so gets really worked up if she’s left alone for more than a couple of minutes… Usually my father carries her up to bed at night and then back down in the morning, but of course he couldn’t do that last night, and it’s not looking promising for the next few nights either…
So guess who’s on the night shift ![]()
It’s not so bad, since I’m usually still awake at 3:30 anyway, but after so little sleep for the past few nights, plus having been awake since 9am yesterday… By 4am I was feeling a bit worse for wear…
Of course starting to install Linux on the laptop at 10pm, reinstalling it a further 8 times before finally managing to get the glitches out until 3:30am, only to find that it wouldn’t register my wirless network card so I couldn’t download the rest of the files I needed… Well let’s say it didn’t really help anything.
Staring at a progress bar on a screen in the dark for 5 hours is not a good way to keep awake! Then still having to put windows back on so I could watch some DVD’s didn’t improve things any.
I will have the same problem tonight, since the updated version of Linux won’t be finished downloading until about 10pm tonight :-((
Ahh well, I got to bed at 10am this morning, got up at 4, and I actually feel better than I have in months… *shakes head* I have no clue what time zone my body clock is currently set to, but it would appear my most suitable sleep time (as far as my body is concerned) runs from about 5am to 3pm (give or take). Which puts me in whichever timezone is 7 hours behind ours…
I wonder if I could request immigration based on wacky sleep patterns?
Worth a thought at least ![]()
Right… Now time for a shower I think, I’m starting to smell like something has crawled into the room with me and died… Oh… Wait… That’d be me ![]()
