I can’t stand it no more, no, no, no…

Have you ever had one of those days where you don’t know whether to throw yourself under a bus, run down the street looking for someone to shoot you, or just go back to bed and stay there for at least a month…
Guess what… That’s my day covered!
My ebay auctions finished today, and they were doing well. None of the video tapes had any bids, but the other things did, so I thought I was all set for having some cash to cover the new computer equipment I have just bought, and a bit left over to put to one side…
I should have known :shootme:
Anything good is always followed by a hefty smack in the face.
You’d think I would have learnt by now wouldn’t you?
It’s like competitions, on the odd occasion I’ve ever won anything it’s always got a catch… if it’s clothing it’s the wrong size (too small so I can’t even get it altered), if there’s a choice of prizes, it’s always the one thing I’ve already got and don’t need…
Needless to say I’m busy planning what to do with any extra money, when the DVD drive in the laptop breaks down… I recognized the signs, my last Sony went through a DVD drive every 5-6 weeks! My current laptop is the replacement I was given, and has not had a single problem in the 7 months I’ve had it… until now :-((
Then i sat here and wallowed in the fact that the replacement DVD drive was going to cost just about every penny I was going to be getting from my auctions… But the auction prices kept getting higher… I then made the fatal mistake of thinking that I might have enough money to pay for a new drive and cover the cost of my recent purchases…
Big mistake!
I was in the middle of trying to do some coding in my journal, set up the new smilies I’ve got, download the numerous emails requesting information about my items for sale, reply to them, send out winning notification messages as the auctions finished… Next thing I know my Internet connection starts acting up, I have to take about 9 attempts to load each and every webpage and my email won’t download.
I then, very stupidly, thought, “Well at least it can’t get any worse…”
:-((
I’m just asking for trouble now!
Low and behold… I was right… Trouble came nice and quick
My two highest priced items are paid for by credit card… But my paypal account won’t accept credit cards, as I’m not a business account holder. I still can’t work out why the buyers even got the choice of credit card payment or paypal payment, I don’t recall ever getting that choice when I’ve bought anything…
I then had to send out emails to the two buyers apologising for the mix-up, explaining why their payments have been rejected and hoping that it won’t cause any problems in selling the items (although I’m pretty sure I’ll get negative feedback for this fiasco!)
Now I’ve got a journal that’s partly re-coded, so I’m hoping that it doesn’t break down, I can’t watch a DVD in bed until I get the laptop fixed, I may lose three out of the 5 sales from ebay, in which case I won’t have the cash for the stuff I’ve just won at auction, let alone a new DVD drive… And I don’t have all my new smilies up and running, let alone coded into the journal for easy access… :-((
So I think I’ll go and ask someone to shoot me, stand in front of a bus while they do it and then have my body put back in bed and left there for 6 months… After all, knowing my luck, if I get buried the wormsknow that the furnace will break down and just singe me enough to look like I’ve got sunburn… then I’ll be photographed for the National Enquirer as a “Mutant Zombie from outer space gave birth to my love child after molesting my turkey baster”
It’s just so not worth it!
