You’re here, there’s nothing I fear…

It’s smurfing time!

First the rules and then the entries so far:

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it…?

A dramatic re-enactment of a movie scene, captured by photo, either a single photo, or a series of photos, your choice. Just remember, the more the merrier, and the use of props is required :-D

The best 5 will be journal smurfed (their picture will go in the photobar for a month so the whole world can see!

Entries can be emailed to email me left in the comments section, or if you are a member of swydm.com, you can PM them to me. The choice is yours.

The closing date will be Saturday 10th April, with the photobars being updated on Sunday 11th April.

Now for the entries…

As usual, click on the thumbnail to see the full sized picture.

Oh I am what I am, I’ll do what I want…

*bounces*

You have to just love the scope of the internet for being able to find information to allow you to do things even though you don’t really understand what you’re doing.

It’s been mentioned that people on swydm don’t want to have to leave the site to view the rest of my journal… Well now you don’t :-D

The journal is now embedded into my swydm journal, so you get all the features without having to go anywhere

*starts wild party in the middle of the journal entry*

I am doing my housework-got no time to fool ’round…

It’s time to get a new poll, the old one’s getting a bit tired.

Mind, it’s good to know that my wearing a Gonzo costume is preferable to me being naked. Although I’m not quite sure whether to be flattered that people think I would look good in a Gonzo costume… Or whether I should be worried that anything would be preferable to me taking my clothes off…

Anyway, the results and the new poll…

I could feel at the time, there was no way of knowing…

Well that was a bit pathetic… Some people might get inundated with comments for extra short entries… It would appear I’m not one of them *pouts*

Well back to the full length ones then.

It really bugs me this new trend of greeting people. Once upon a time people said “Hello” as a greeting. Then if they were interested enough in the person, they would ask them how they are.

Oh, oh, but sweetness follows…

Ok, time to test the theory…

The shorter the entry the more comments you receive… Or so I’m told. So it’s time to put my principles on the shelf and prostitute myself for comments.

“Life is like a box of chocolates…” So which type of chocolate would you want life to be?

You like tomato and I like to-mah-to; Potato, po-tah-to, tomato, to-mah-to…

Right! After taking some more photos for Kim‘s journal competition (They’re in the rest of the entry) I decided I am going to do another one. I was going to wait a month, but I had such a good idea I decided against waiting :-D

So time to grab your cameras, your video collection and your imagination and then get snapping.

As usual the best 5 will go on the photobar over there *points left*

Wait, oh wait a minute mister postman…

Let’s talk mail.

I don’t know about other countries, but it’s safe to say that the British mail system is going down hill rapidly.

The price keeps going up, whilst the service keeps going down!

We used to get two deliveries a day, one at about 7am, then the second at about 11am.

*whoops happily*

Anybody remember “The Wedding Entry”? The forum wedding between Kimboly and myself?

I just remembered the other day, I never did finish writing the official version of that… I’ll have to have a go at finishing it this week.

On a plus side, I found the missing sections of the forum threads when I was clearing out my hard drive, so I’ve added them here

To be the sad man, behind blue eyes…

*bounces*

I’ve been productive today (makes a nice change) I’ve been going through all my computer files, deleting any duplicate files, downloading all the latest versions of the software, deleting about 3 years worth of backup files that I kept forgetting to sort through, and archiving anything that I’m not using at present, like all my photos for work, the website etc.

All in all, I’ve cleared almost 1GB of space on my hard drive, which I’m very happy about!

The only problem is that when I sit at the computer concentrating… I… ummm…. I tend to forget to blink…

*blushes*

I’ll be sat here for a few hours and spend 10 minutes rubbing my eyes before I suddenly think, “When did I last bother to blink?”

Please tell me I’m not the only person who finds this?

Ok, time for some funnies…

I’m nice and nostalgic today, so it’s out with all the old TV shows and DVD?s, and a rummage through my book case.

I think my nostalgic state started from watching “The Storyteller” on DVD last night. That’s what got me thinking, then there was a tribute show on TV tonight for Bob Monkhouse, a British comedian who died not long ago.

When I was growing up, Bob Monkhouse, and other comedian-presenters were Saturday night entertainment. Now they’re almost all gone.
