Well job interview has been and gone.

Total waste of time.

They advertised for an Administrative Assistant. What they really wanted was a cheap typist. It was going to be 8am-4:45pm five days a week, and their top line worked out at £1000 less than my pay rate now. So I’m pretty sure they won’t offer my the position (I’ll find out either way on Friday, Monday or Tuesday) but I’m hoping they don’t. I don’t like turning jobs down. It’s funny since first starting to work for my current company, I’ve become a lot more choosy about jobs, which ones I apply for and which ones I will accept. Up until that point I had never turned down a job in my life. I’ve since turned down about 6 (either turned down the job offer, or refused to be short-listed when it’s obvious they are very keen.) I feel so strange about it. I’d never been in a position of being able to turn down jobs, but there I was, turning them down left, right and centre.
