It never rains… It pours

Why me?
I’m asking myself that a lot lately.
I’m paid to do the technical stuff at work, but we’re having to pay to get a network expert to sort out the 4 months of mess I’ve managed to create whilst trying to set the thing up *sob*
Now I’m supposed to be setting up the new website (for about the 8th attempt) and doing various emails from home over the bank holiday weekend. So what happens? My modem dies on Friday morning. The laptops going to have to be collected (again) *sob*
So far I have had 3 laptops in 18 months. The first one had a head crash after 3 weeks. I was doing a backup at the time, so I lost 3 years worth of files and college notes, and got a corrupted backup (why me?
The laptop went in for repair 4 times, each time I got another head crash within a couple of weeks.
Replacement laptop arrived. The CD/DVD drive kept dying ever 2-3 months and had to go in for repair.
Fianlly after a year of that, I got replacement laptop 3. I’ve had it less than 3 months, the graphics card is 8MB, but the two games I have need 8MB, and kindly tell me my system doesn’ have sufficiant graphics memory for them to run. And now the modem has died at the worst time.
So here I am 2 days without internet while I did a full format and reinstall, that didn’t help so I’m stuck with a 5 year old computer that takes 9 minutes to boot up completely, can’t handle half my programs, and won’t display images properly, unless I reload each image manually.
Oh and now we’ve got a thunderstorm to finish me off. All I need now is a powercut and some nasty disease and my weeks just set

Thanks everybody. It’s no supprise though, I can kill a computer at around 20 paces.
My first laptop actually blew up. I took it to get the mouse button tightened, got a phonecall later in the day to tell me it blew up when they switched it on, it was gonna cost £900 to replace the motherboard then additional for any extra fried parts.
I’m just not ment to have a computer. Or anything electrical *sigh*
